The White Rose Movement was a group of students in the 1930’s in Germany, who came together as a gang to speak out against what they thought was wrong, the wrong of the time. The reason we find that inspiring, I think many people find it inspiring, is just the idea of sticking by your beliefs and standing up to the tide of disagreement.
It’s a weird comparison for me to make - because obviously, you know, we’re not as brave or courageous as them - but what I liked about that story was just the, sort of, ‘us against the world-ness’ of it, and don’t be scared of your enemies kind of thing. - Chris Martin
